After 4 and a half years of being side tracked by all the fun sports the "Disabled" world has to offer, I decided to motivate my self and those around by challenging my self to walk the 2011 Rock and Roll Marathon.
My goal was to walk 3 miles, I trained by walking a mile a day, which took me 1.5 hours.
When D Day came around, I had my wife Sara, Leo, Marcela, Mom, and Brent Marrocco walk with me 3 miles, starting from mile 10 all the way through the 13th( the last three miles of half a marathon), and it took me 5 hours of two stepping like a penguin.
My discovery was that I can not only achieve my goals of walking again, but I can motivate people to reach their own goals...After all if a paraplegic can come back after being paralized, than anyone can do anything they want.
I also discovered that I did motivate a number of my friends and those who stay in contact with me, because they communicated their interest in walking with me the full half marathon next year!
My Intentions are to walk more!
