Last night, I drove under the most beautiful moon I have ever seen, I drove to Fallbrook where I have lived most of my life. On the way there I was so exited because I did something unexpected... I left my wheelchair at home, all I had with me was my braces and walker. It felt so good, I started crying on the way there, and because I was going to see my friends play basketball, but my plans where interrupted when a highway patrol stopped my after running a red light. After a few words, the officer let me go with a fix it ticket for not having my license( which was stolen and was waiting to obtain it back)! What a brake, he even shuck my hands and welcomed me back home... Well I didn't get to see my friends playing basketball, but the next morning, I drove to Dean's house and found no-one but the gentle giants.
After playing with the girls for a while, I got a hold of Dean, who was in his store "Med Fit Systems", the place where I used to work and was on my way to when I was injured 3.5 years ago... Man it felt good to walk in and take Dean his breakfast burrito, just like old days... I also say Curt who helped me get my personal training certification, it was very good seen him, who never ages by the way. When Dean and Curt saw me walk in, I think we all wanted to cry, because it was something special for all of us... all the hard work that everyone put in to get me there, STANDING...
After our moment I made my way to my old house, the Fallbrook Ag Lab, where I found Peggy and Mrs. Marrocco working, they helped me out with my biology term paper which I decided to write on the 'Avocado' and what a better place to visit than my old home; the capital of the avocado, Fallbrook. I felt I could nock out two birds with one stone by visiting my family and friends while getting plenty of info for my paper.

After gathering more information than needed and a bunch of hugs, including a slap on the cheek for running a red light, I made my way towards Atkins nursery where Victor( the owner and friend) was very busy but not only set me up with a master at grafting trees(for a history lesson on avos), but hooked me up FAT! with a bunch of fruit to take home. I also felt trying to walk backwards, I got very dirty but it felt great!; I was getting down and dirty, but instead of picking fruit and dogging rattle snakes in the immense heat like I used to when my Pop was a super intendant for a fruit picking business, I was learning about avocados.
My day ended by driving back home in the beautiful Avocado highway (I15) and making back on time to hit up basketball practice. I got to share some Fallbrook oranges that I took with me to practice.
What an excellent day....
